Lady M's shine in Kodiak

Autumn Daigle, Brooke Miller and Alex Moseley gave the Homer Lady Mariners plenty of bragging rights on Saturday afternoon when they posted a 1-2-3 finish and helped power the Lady Mariners to the Kodiak Invitational championship. Homer easily won the team crown with just 21 points.

Kodiak finished second in the team standings with 34 points.

A sophomore sensation, Daigle dominated the race. She covered the 5-kilometer course in a blistering time of 20 minutes, 34 seconds, and finished 23 seconds ahead of the field.

Miller, a talented freshman, finished second at 20:57. Mosley rounded out HHS' sweep of the top three spots with a third-place time of 21:30.

Homer's Shine Carey and Harmony Davidson also posted top-10 finishes in the event. Carey turned in a personal-best mark of 22:35. Davidson also legged out a personal-best time of 24:30 en route to placing ninth.

Anahi Ochoa finishied 18th overall with a mark of 28:36.
