Alaska State Troopers Report

On Aug. 2, the village public safety officer in Noorvik was notified of a possibly intoxicated driver in the village, classified as a Report Every Dangerous Driver Immediately (REDDI) report.

The officer responded and ultimately arrested Solomon Foster, 42, of Noorvik, for driving under the influence and for driving on a revoked license. Solomon was transported to the Kotzebue Regional Jail where he was processed for DUI and remanded on his charges.

On Aug. 4, an Alaska State Trooper in Unalakleet started receiving text messages from a local resident attempting to purchase alcohol. According to an online dispatch, "the suspect was initially unaware that he was texting an Alaska State Trooper cellphone." The suspect was identified and an investigation is underway.
