Danny Wells and Arthur Ballot Jr. both turned in outstanding performances on Saturday and led the Noorvik Bears to the top at the 2013 Rex Rock Tip-Off Classic in Point Hope on Saturday evening.

Noorvik posted a 3-0 record in the tournament, including a 69-67 win over the Point Hope Harpooners in their final game on Saturday.

The Bears opened the tournament with a bang on Thursday, claiming a 73-53 decision over Yakutat in the opening round.

Noorvik followed that win with a 63-59 nail-biter over Nikolaevsk in the semifinal round.

Yakutat finished second in the boys' standings.

Following the tournament Ballot and Wells highlighted the event's all-tournament selections. Wells was tabbed the 2013 MVP recipient.

Point Hope, paced by stellar play from Amanda Sage, Chelsea Tooyak and Jasmine Tooyak, won the girls' side of the tournament. The Harpoonetettes edged out Nikolaevesk girls for the top spot.
