Day of reading, singing at Barrow library will stimulate big and little minds

Do you have an hour or two a month to read or tell stories to kids?

Want to hear more about what parents can do to stimulate brain development in babies?

Want to help your kids enter school ready to succeed?

Come to the Tuzzy Library on May 4, where a full day of activity will include breakfast, storytime by parents, talks from experts about health and young minds, baby songs and a 6 p.m. dinner.

Sign up is at at 8:45 a.m. and breakfast is at 9 a.m., said a press releaes from the library. (See agenda below.)

The event is underwritten by ConocoPhillips. If you are interested in participating, please contact Sandy Solenberger at friendsoftuzzy@gmail.com or call (907) 852-9323 or leave a message at Tuzzy Library in Barrow (907) 852-4050.

Parents, grandparents and others from the villages and Barrow are invited to join us for the day. There is no charge and all meals will be provided. Health Department, CYS and NSBSD staff are also welcome.

Contact Sandy Solenberger at 852-9323 to arrange for travel and hotel if you are from the villages.
