An Ambler man was arrested March 28 after carving up the door of his family's cache with a chainsaw, Alaska State Troopers reported.

Later, he peed in his jail cell and attacked a trooper.

After completing his work with the chainsaw, Frank Cleveland, 28, fought the village police officer's attempt to arrest him, but he was subdued and placed in the Ambler holding facility.

"At the holding facility Cleveland broke the cell light and lit a blanket on fire and urinated on the cell wall and floor. When troopers attempted to transport Cleveland he assaulted the trooper by kicking and punching at the trooper. Cleveland was restrained and later transported to the Kotzebue Regional Jail," the troopers reported.

Cleveland is on release, with conditions, for a felony case of manufacturing alcohol in a dry area.

He was sent to jail with no bail pending arraignment. Ambler is dry. Alcohol was a factor.
